Job summary

Pace Analytical Services LLC is seeking a Field Technician I to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, and water. You will collect, process, and test samples, travel to client sites, and help maintain logs and field documentation.

This entry-level role offers hands-on field experience and exposure to environmental programs. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel with some overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues.
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; escalate issues when needed.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements.
• Promote Pace Analytical’s mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers.
