Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC is seeking a Field Technician in Florida to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related media. The role offers a starting hourly wage of $17.50 with potential overtime and weekend work.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, travel with overnight stays, and a valid driver’s license. Experience in laboratory or environmental settings is preferred, and conditions include comprehensive benefits and opportunities

• Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• The ability to travel with some overnight stays.
• Valid driver's license.
• Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses and certifications in active status.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues.
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; elevate issues when needed.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements.
• Promote Pace Analytical's mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers.

What You'll Do

• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required


• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment


• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely


• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues


• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs


• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; elevate issues when needed
