Job summary

Pace is seeking a Field Technician I to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related media. You will travel to customer sites and perform field services, handling sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation.

The role offers the opportunity to learn foundational field and environmental knowledge while contributing to critical testing programs. We value a high school diploma, willingness to travel, and ability to operate a company vehicle with GPS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• The ability to travel with some overnight stays.
• Must be comfortable operating a company vehicle equipped with GPS/telematics tracking and inward- and outward-facing safety cameras (no audio recording).

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues.
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; escalates issues when needed.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements.
• Promote Pace Analytics’ mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers

Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The salary for this position reflects a variety of factors. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity. What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred
• The ability to travel with some overnight stays
• Must be comfortable operating a company vehicle equipped with GPS/telematics tracking and inward- and outward-facing safety cameras (no audio recording).

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses and certifications in active status
