Job summary

HMT, LLC has an immediate opening for an Assistant Foreman in Beaumont, TX. The role directs personnel in safe execution of site work, following contract documents and written/verbal instructions. Heavy lifting and work in confined spaces and extreme weather are required.

Responsibilities include supervising crew with the Tank Foreman, ensuring QA/QC compliance, and completing site paperwork. Travel ~75–100% is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of heavy steel industry work experience, preferably in the AST (Above Ground Storage Tank) industry space.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and POV (personally owned vehicle).
• Willingness to travel (75%–100%).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees work safely in accordance with the HMT Safety Manual and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Tank Foreman to understand scope and flag potential issues.
• Ensure adherence to all HMT and customer specifications and programs.
• Support the Tank Foreman in managing the field crew for daily tasks.
• Ensure efficient use of manpower, equipment, tools and consumables.
• Comply with QA/QC requirements including drawings and specs.
• Complete site paperwork: timesheets, T&M sheets, purchase orders.
• Maintain onsite customer relations and feedback.
• Red-line construction drawings for scope changes with sketches of equipment.
