Job summary

Seismos is seeking a Field Service Engineering Manager with a strong electrical engineering background to lead deployment, maintenance, and logistics for rugged field hardware and data systems. You will bridge engineering and product teams with on-site crews, ensuring uptime and robust field data streams for real-time diagnostics.

Responsibilities include asset management, deployment leadership, vendor negotiations, and uptime optimization, with up to 25% travel to regional sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in technical operations or field hardware deployments.
• Proficiency with asset management software and ERP or logistics modules.
• Familiarity with ruggedized field hardware, sensors, GPS/telemetry, and schematics.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, configuration, calibration, and tracking of acoustic sensing units and field hardware.
• Coordinate end-to-end logistics for field instrumentation and spares.
• Lead deployment of sensor hardware, firmware, edge-processing, and connectivity.
• Negotiate with hardware vendors and manage SLAs.
• Escalation support for field technical issues and uptime optimization.
• Ensure logging of telemetry and asset metrics for QA and compliance.
