Job summary

Elmington Construction seeks a Field Surveyor in Nashville to support multifamily construction projects. You will establish survey control points, verify elevations, and document as-built conditions using total stations and GPS/GNSS systems.

Collaborating with superintendents, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, you will ensure layout accuracy, resolve discrepancies between drawings and field conditions, and support efficient construction progress on 2-3 active sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction surveying and site layout.
• Ability to read civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Proficient with CAD tools and field documentation.

Responsibilities

• Establish project control points and elevations with the survey team.
• Read and interpret civil drawings to determine layouts and elevations.
• Review drawings to identify conflicts before construction begins.
• Use CAD data to support layout and identify field conflicts.
• Maintain project survey control and benchmarks for progress.
• Transfer and verify elevations as buildings rise.
