Job summary

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Surveyor to assist field teams by staking out sites and developing layouts for sidewalks, slabs and walls. You will work closely with foremen to maintain accuracy and protect our reputation for quality.

Travel may be required to surrounding job sites; a per diem is provided. One year of construction experience, ability to read plans, and knowledge of Trimble GPS are essential. We offer health benefits and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• One-year minimum experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with elevations.
• Knowledge of Trimble GPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foreman with plan layout and site stakeout.
• Transfer reference points from design drawings to the site.
• Read blueprints and lay out sidewalks, slabs and walls.
• Site layout for storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, parking lots and curbs.
