Job summary

Fessler & Bowman Inc. seeks a Surveyor to assist field teams with site stakeouts and layout, working closely with foremen to uphold our reputation for quality. Responsibilities include reading plans, transferring reference points, and coordinating GPS-based layouts on sidewalks, slabs and walls.

The role requires reading blueprints, knowledge of elevations, and experience with Trimble GPS systems. Travel to nearby sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• One-year minimum experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with elevations and site layout.
• Knowledge of Trimble GPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foreman with plan layout and site stakeout.
• Transfer reference points and alignments from drawings to site.
• Read blueprints and layout sidewalks, slabs and walls.
• Site layout for utilities, parking and curbs.
• Set up GPS units using control points and blueprints.
