Job summary

Phillips Infrastructure Holdings, Inc. is seeking a surveying technician to support construction projects in Hamlet, NC. The role focuses on operating Trimble GPS tools and CAD workflows to deliver precise survey outputs with efficiency.

You will train field crews, perform site localization, pre-surveys, and as-builts, and ensure data quality through careful calibration checks and meticulous recordkeeping. Outdoor work and travel are required.

Qualifications

• AAS/Technical Certificate in Geodetic/Surveying or 1-3 years related field experience.
• Proven ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Experience with Trimble data collection software & surveying equipment.
• Ability to read civil plans and specifications.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Train field personnel in machine control GPS equipment.
• Site localization and setup; pre-surveys, production surveys, and as-builts.
• Verify machine control calibrations and troubleshoot GPS problems.
• Perform site staking/layout and grade checking.
• Produce quantity reports for project managers and superintendents.
• Maintain survey logs and records.
