Job summary

Phillips, Inc. is seeking Construction Surveyors in Houston, TX to perform field surveys using Trimble GPS and CAD software. The role requires strong math skills, accurate data collection, and outdoors work across diverse sites.

Ideal candidates will read civil plans, communicate effectively, and travel as needed. AAS/Technical certificate or 1–3 years field experience plus a pre-employment medical are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Trimble data collection software & surveying equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret civil plans and specifications.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel, including moderate to extensive overnight travel.
• Clean driving record.
• AAS/Technical Certificate in Geodetic/Surveying or 1-3 years related field experience.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction surveying tasks using Trimble GPS, survey data, and CAD software.
• Read and interpret civil plans and specifications to guide field work.
• Travel to project sites as required, including overnight travel.
• Maintain accurate field notes, stakeouts, and QA/QC procedures.
