Job summary

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Surveyor to support field teams by staking sites and developing layouts. You will work closely with Foremen to ensure accurate plans and maintain the company’s reputation for quality concrete and earthwork projects.

The role requires experience with elevations and reading blueprints, with GPS setup using control points. Travel to nearby job sites may be required as part of project assignments.

Qualifications

• One-year minimum experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with elevations.
• Knowledge of Trimble GPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Foreman with plan layout and site stakeout as needed.
• Transferring reference points and alignment from design drawings to the site to enable construction.
• Reading blueprints and layout jobs, mostly sidewalks, slabs, and walls with experience to set forms.
• Site layout for storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, parking lots and curbs building pads.
• Setting up GPS units using control points and blueprints.
