Job summary

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Surveyor to support field teams by staking out sites and developing layouts. You will work closely with foremen to ensure accurate alignment and on-time project progress.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, transferring reference points to the site, setting up GPS units, and coordinating with crew members to produce quality results on sidewalks, slabs and walls. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• One-year minimum experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with elevations.
• Knowledge of Trimble GPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foreman with plan layout and site stakeout.
• Transfer reference points from design drawings to the site.
• Read blueprints and layout sidewalks, slabs and walls.
• Set up GPS units using control points and blueprints.
• Lead field crews to produce quality results.
