Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC is seeking a Survey Technician/Instrument Operator in West Henrietta, NY to help collect accurate field data for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. You will work with a Crew Chief on daily field tasks using a range of survey equipment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, comfort with technology, and a willingness to travel as needed. Prior industry experience is preferred, and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in surveying industry is a plus.
• Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Support daily field surveys under supervision of Crew Chief.
• Set up and operate survey equipment including robotic total stations, GNSS, levels, and 3D scanners.
• Use controllers/software to collect geospatial data and perform calculations.
• Read maps and plans to support fieldwork accuracy.
• Record organized field notes and measurements under guidance.
• Care for and organize survey equipment and supplies.
• Follow safety practices and company procedures on every assignment.
