Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC in Westerville, OH is seeking a Survey Technician/Instrument Operator to support field crews in gathering data for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. You will operate robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, and other surveying gear, with supervision from a Crew Chief, and ensure accurate field notes and data collection.

The role requires outdoor work year-round, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous survey field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic surveying practices and computations.

Responsibilities

• Use survey instruments to support field crews for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Assist in field surveys under supervision and communicate progress.
• Operate land survey equipment including total stations and GNSS receivers.
• Use survey software to collect geospatial data and perform computations.
• Read and interpret maps and plans.
• Maintain neat field notes with accurate measurements.
• Load/unload equipment and supplies, and maintain gear.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
