Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey Instrument Operator to assist a survey crew chief in the field with data collection, boundary surveying, and creating sketches for construction layouts.

The role includes extensive travel to project sites and requires operating GPS, total stations, scanners, and data collectors. Candidate should be comfortable working outdoors, lifting equipment, and adhering to safety and quality policies while maintaining strong client and

Qualifications

Ability to operate a total station and GPS in static and RTK modes.
Valid driver's license with clean driving history.
OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid, or the ability and willingness to acquire it.
Ability to perform tasks independently with guidance from a crew chief.
Basic office suite skills.

Responsibilities

Discharge duties as requested by Crew Chief.
Perform field work for land surveying: construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography.
Organize survey truck, equipment and supplies as necessary.
Operate GPS, total stations, scanners, and data collectors.
Transfer files between data collectors and internal project folders.
Maintain productive working relationships with clients and coworkers.
Adhere to the company’s Safety, Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies.
Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
