Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Safford, AZ seeks a Survey Party Chief to join our team. Lead a field crew, supervise daily activities, coordinate with contractors, and ensure accurate data collection for surveys.

The role emphasizes client communication,土 project efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates have 3+ years on a land surveying party, and experience with boundary/ALTA surveys, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, total station and GPS data collection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience on a land surveying party.
• Prior Party Chief experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of survey procedures and stakeout practices.
• Familiar with boundary and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Experience with total station, GPS and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of the survey field crew and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate with contractors to deliver survey services.
• Identify controls for property lines and decide survey approach.
• Gather information needed to conduct surveys efficiently and assign tasks.
• Discuss work with clients as needed.
• Make calculations and maintain survey records.
• Ensure survey truck and equipment are maintained and inventoried.
• Communicate with management to maximize efforts and hours.
