Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Marshall, TX, is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead field crews and coordinate surveying and geospatial data collection. The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, adherence to safety, and delivering accurate boundary and topographic surveys.

You will mentor junior staff, work with contractors, and maintain equipment while developing client relationships to grow Bowman’s services in the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate/bachelor's preferred.
• 3+ years surveying party experience.
• Prior Party Chief experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of the survey field crew.
• Coordinate with contractors to deliver survey services.
• Identify property line controls and determine survey approach.
• Gather information to conduct surveys efficiently and assign tasks.
• Discuss work with clients as needed.
• Make calculations and maintain survey records.
• Maintain survey truck and inventory equipment.
• Communicate with management to maximize efforts.
