Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead a field crew and manage surveying tasks. The role focuses on data collection, boundary and ALTA surveys, and supervising junior staff while coordinating with contractors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in land surveying, knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and a valid driver’s license. Local travel and a competitive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; commensurate experience considered.
• 3+ years experience on a land surveying party.
• Prior Party Chief experience a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of boundary and ALTA/NSPS surveys.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of the field crew, training and mentoring junior staff.
• Coordinate with contractors to provide survey services.
• Identify controls for property lines and decide how to proceed with surveys.
• Gather information needed to properly conduct surveys and assign tasks.
• Discuss work with clients as necessary.
• Make calculations and maintain essential survey records.
• Ensure survey truck and equipment are properly maintained.
• Maintain and inventory all assigned equipment.
• Communicate with management to maximize efforts and man-hours.
