Job summary

Thompson Engineering is seeking a Survey Instrument Technician to support the Surveyor Party Chief in field data collection using designated survey equipment. Travel and overnight stays are required based on project needs.

Responsibilities include operating Total Station, digital/automatic level, and Topcon data tools, collecting data for field notes, and assisting with equipment handling to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Five years verifiable surveying experience.
• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Must have TWIC card.
• Ability to travel and stay overnight as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey equipment (Total Station, level, Topcon data collector).
• Collect data for field notes and report to Surveyor Party Chief.
• Assist in loading/unloading survey equipment from company vehicles.
• Travel and stay overnight based on workload.
