Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Instrument Person to join our Survey/Geospatial team in Nashville, TN. You will assist the Crew Chief in field surveys and operate Total Stations, GPS, and data collectors to capture critical data for projects in the built environment.

You will also be responsible for data upload/download, vehicle operations, and maintaining surveying equipment while following safety policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of surveying practices and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crew Chief in the performance of field surveys.
• Perform assignments using standard equipment, work and safety methods.
• Use Total Stations, Data Collector, GPS and other equipment to collect data.
• Upload and download all field data collections.
• May be required to drive the Survey vehicle.
• Transport and set up the instruments and equipment associated with surveying land.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and maintain equipment.
