Job summary

Land Point Corp in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Instrument Operator to support field surveying operations and assist the Crew Chief with instrument setup, operation, and data collection to ensure accurate results.

You will work outdoors, handle total stations, GPS receivers, levels, and data loggers, maintain data quality, and follow safety protocols. Willingness to travel to job sites and outstanding attention to detail are required for project success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; surveying coursework is a plus.
  • Experience as a Survey Instrument Operator is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with surveying instruments and data collection tools.
  • Ability to communicate in English and follow safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.
  • Valid driver's license preferred; travel to job sites may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate surveying instruments including total stations, GPS receivers, levels, and data collectors.
  • Collect field data with measurements, angles, distances, and elevations.
  • Maintain accuracy and record data meticulously.
  • Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards during field operations.
  • Maintain and report issues with surveying equipment.
  • Transfer field data to digital formats and assist data QC.
  • Collaborate with the crew chief and team to complete tasks.
