Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; land surveying coursework is a plus.
  • Experience as Survey Instrument Operator or related role is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with surveying instruments and data collection tools.
  • Basic understanding of surveying principles and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Field Survey Support: Assist Crew Chief and crew in setting up and operating surveying instruments (total stations, GPS, levels, data collectors).
  • Data Collection: Operate instruments to collect measurements, angles, distances, elevations with high accuracy.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow site safety protocols and regulations; comply with OSHA standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, clean, and store survey tools; report malfunctions.
  • Data Management: Transfer and organize field data for processing; support quality control.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with Crew Chief and team to complete tasks efficiently.
