Job summary

Alta E&I in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a motivated Surveyor Assistant to support field crews on land surveying tasks. You will work outdoors with a Crew Chief, perform staking, topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and operate Trimble GPS and Robotic Total Station. The role requires accuracy, safety, and the ability to read plans.

High School Diploma or GED; CST or LSIT preferred. Opportunities for training, certifications, and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work with algebra, trigonometry and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Support field crew chief in construction/utility staking, surveys.
• Perform topographical, boundary, and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Operate Trimble GPS, Robotic Total Station, and related software.
• Maintain survey notes, point descriptions, and calculations.
• Handle field data uploads/downloads and document packets.
