Job summary

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead our surveying crew in field surveys, including construction staking, control surveys, and topographic work. You will manage equipment, data quality, and safety while coordinating with project managers and clients.

You will guide crew members, ensure timely data uploads, and contribute to detailed maps and reports. The role emphasizes leadership, field excellence, and adherence to standards at multiple Arizona sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of land surveying experience, especially in construction staking.
• Proficiency with surveying instruments and software (Total Stations, GPS, Levels).
• Strong leadership, organization, and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead the survey crew in field surveys and construction staking.
• Ensure accurate data collection with surveying instruments and data collectors.
• Supervise control points, benchmarks, and reference points; maintain equipment and safety.
• Manage field resources, schedules, and time logs; coordinate with clients and PMs.
• Prepare survey reports and deliverables; mentor crew members.
