Job summary

Alta E&I is seeking a motivated Surveyor Assistant to join our Tucson Survey team. You will provide essential support to a survey Crew Chief performing land surveying tasks on a survey field crew.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Dependable, punctual, motivated and eager to learn.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Must be well organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to travel to job sites as part of a survey field crew.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crew Chief on land surveying tasks in the field.
• Ensure crew truck is supplied and equipment batteries charged.
• Clear brush, drive posts, set stakes and monuments.
• Call out readings, write numbers, mark distances, use measuring devices.
• Learn field measurements and maintain field notes as directed.
• Perform other tasks as directed by Crew Chief or management.
