TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an entry-level survey assistant to support skilled craftspersons in field projects. You will work under supervision performing manual survey-related tasks and learning elevations, measurements, and setup of instruments in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include handling stakes, markers, and tools, following written and oral instructions, and complying with safety rules. The role requires physical stamina and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Aufgaben

• Assist surveying crew by cutting brush, carrying stakes and markers and delineating features of construction projects.
• Learn to establish elevations and grades as required.
• Install or mark elevations as instructed by the Surveying Journeyman.
• Assist and learn to measure distances manually with survey chains using a plumb bob.
• Learn to set up items associated with electronic measuring and sighting and perform these actions as needed.
• Operates and maintains survey tools and instruments.
