Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks an intermediate land survey assistant to support the Party Chief in surveying earth's surface and determining precise locations, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction and land-related projects.

Responsibilities include planning and diagramming surveys, performing manual field work, and assisting with elevations and grading as required. Must be able to work outdoors, lift tools, and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management/supervision.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning, diagramming and layout for surveyor work.
• Perform manual labor related to surveying needs (cutting brush, carrying stakes and markers).
• Assist in establishing elevations and grades as required.
• Install or mark elevations as instructed by the Surveying Journeyman.
• Measure distances manually with survey chains and maintain chains for accuracy.
• Set up items with electronic measuring and sighting equipment as needed.
• Operate and maintain survey tools and instruments.
• Inspect work to ensure conformance with standards.
