Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time Survey Administrators to support the school-based YRBS study in California. You will travel to selected schools, administer surveys in classrooms, and follow up with school staff for make-up dates.

This temporary role runs about 20 hours per week during the data collection period, with training provided and RTI-issued devices. The work may involve field travel, early mornings, and occasional overnight trips.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and listening skills.
• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Available for training and data collection period.
• Successful completion of required training.
• Valid US driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Comfortable using RTI devices and software.
• Access to password-protected WiFi for data transmission.
• Ability to keep project information confidential.
• Comfort with early morning hours and field travel.
• Ability to drive several hours and overnight if needed.
• Adherence to SOPs and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to selected locations to administer surveys.
• Make in-person contact with respondents to discuss the study.
• Coordinate with school staff for data collection and make-up dates.
• Host meetings with school staff to review survey logistics.
• Track parental consent and student eligibility for participation.
• Perform administrative duties and attend conference calls.
• Manage project equipment securely and responsibly.
• Submit timely time and expense reports.
• Attend virtual project team meetings.
• Prepare for field work including carrying equipment weighing 15+ pounds.
