Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time Survey Administrators to conduct school-based surveys and assessments as part of the National Youth Risk Behavior Study. The role involves traveling to selected locations, engaging with students and school staff, and coordinating data collection during weekdays with possible overnight travel.

The position is temporary with an estimated 20 hours per week, through June 2027, and includes a competitive hourly wage of $21 in the United States.

Qualifications

• Effective communication through speech and listening.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Available for entire training and data collection period.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable personal automobile for business use.
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and other equipment.
• Access to password protected WiFi for data transmission.
• Able to keep project information confidential.
• Willingness to travel and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to assigned locations to administer surveys or assessments.
• Interact with respondents to discuss the study and obtain participation.
• Coordinate scheduling and communications with school staff for data collection.
• Host meetings with school staff to ensure survey logistics.
• Submit Time and Expense reports promptly.
• Attend virtual project team meetings.
• Handle equipment securely and transport materials (e.g., laptops).
• Work in classroom settings and be prepared for field travel.
