Job summary

Stearns County is seeking a dedicated Community Corrections professional to supervise clients under court-ordered supervision in a dynamic, field-based role. You will perform surveillance checks, conduct victim contacts, verify employment and residence, and ensure compliance with probation terms.

The position emphasizes teamwork, accurate record-keeping, and strict adherence to safety protocols while serving a diverse community across Central Minnesota.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years post-secondary in corrections, criminal justice, psychology, social work, or related field preferred; or 5 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform surveillance checks, collateral visits, victim contacts, and employment verifications to ensure probation compliance.
• Collaborate with supervising agents to promote public safety and legal compliance.
• Monitor sobriety via approved tests like breath and urine analyses.
• Maintain timely, accurate records of client contacts in CSTS.
• Complete required safety training and carry safety equipment as directed.
• Prepare case activity notes to support planning and court communications.
• Attend work regularly and adhere to shift scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
• Work as part of a team and with other agencies to support the client.
• Travel to multiple county locations as needed; maintain professional relationships.
• Respect data privacy and follow department policies and procedures.
