Job summary

Scotsman Ice is hiring a Field Support Technician for our Vernon Hills, IL office. The role is full-time, in-office with a Monday–Friday schedule. The position offers top-tier benefits including life insurance, disability coverage, an HSA, 401k with company match, and performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• EPA Refrigerant Usage certification (Type I & II) is required.
• 2-year Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Education Certificate or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers by phone, text, chat, and log information for each call.
• Review and verify labor warranty claims for processing.
• Support National Accounts projects and follow up.
• Support Consumer Products calls and determine action.
• Respond to routine correspondence requests for service assistance.
• Identify and report potential field service issues.
• Coordinate start ups between KES and service providers.
• Assist Installation Coordinator with technical support and processing invoices.
• Provide scheduled On-Call 24x7 technical line support.
• Analyze data to identify warranty causes or risks.

Qualifications

• EPA Refrigerant Usage certification, Type I & II.
• Minimum two-year Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Education Certificate or equivalent work experience.
• Windows based computer skills
• Microsoft Office proficient, especially Excel
• Must be able to understand and use CRM, SMS and entering live customer information
• Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
