Job summary

Scotsman Ice Systems in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a Field Support Technician to join our team. This role is Monday through Friday, on-site, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to work with distributors, dealers and customers from our Service Department Tech Line.

You will provide technical assistance, review warranty claims, coordinate startups, and support National Accounts projects. Requires EPA refrigerant certification, relevant education, and strong communication

Qualifications

• EPA Refrigerant Usage certification, Type I & II.
• Two-year Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Education Certificate or equivalent work experience.
• Windows-based computer skills.
• Microsoft Office proficient, especially Excel.
• CRM and SMS data entry proficiency.
• Willing to work overtime (>40 hours/week).
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Professional image.
• Occasional travel if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to distributors, dealers and customers via phone, text, chat, and log calls.
• Review labor warranty claims for processing.
• Support National Accounts projects and follow up.
• Assist Consumer Products calls and determine actions.
• Respond to routine service correspondence requests.
• Identify and report field service issues.
• Coordinate startups between KES and service providers.
• Assist Installation Coordinator with technical support and invoices.
• Provide scheduled On-Call 24x7 Tech Line support.
• Analyze data to identify warranty causes or risks.

Scotsman Ice is hiring a Field Support Technician for our Vernon Hills office. This job is Monday through Friday, in office and provides top tier benefits.

Required

You will provide technical assistance and service support to distributors, dealers, and customers through the Service Department Tech Line. Function as a Field Service Representative in the field when required, and participate in the following activities:

• Provides technical support to customers by phone, text, chat and logs information for each call in database.
• Reviews and verifies labor warranty claims for processing.
• Supports National Accounts projects and follow up.
• Supports Consumer Products calls and determines action.
• Responds to routine correspondence request for service assistance.
• Identifies and reports potential emerging or major field service problems
• Coordinates certain startups, working between KES and service providers.
• Assists Installation Coordinator with Technical support, contacting providers, and processing invoices.
• Provides scheduled On-Call 24 X 7 Tech Line support.
• Analyzes data as requested to identify possible warranty cause or risk.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following
