Job summary

TKC Holdings, Inc.'s ICS division is seeking a Field Tech to travel regionally and service inmate phone systems across correctional facilities with extensive site visits and hands-on work. You will perform walk-throughs, repair or replace network devices, and assemble equipment for rollout under multi-year contracts.

Candidates should have strong networking knowledge, T-1/analog circuit repair, excellent communication, and the ability to work onsite with minimal supervision. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience.
• Must have T-1 and analog circuit repair knowledge.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of multiple network disciplines and perform advanced network diagnostics to isolate and troubleshoot issues.
• Must be able to develop good working relationships with facility personnel.
• Service and maintain inmate phone systems at correctional facilities within an assigned region.
• Ability to travel throughout assigned territory as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong team oriented business skill.
• Professional attitude in dealing with customers.

Responsibilities

About This Position

There is always extensive travel to and from each site the Field Tech visits. Once there, they will perform a walk-through of the facility to repair or replace any components on a suite of custom configured network devices in support of multi-year state and county contracts. Field Techs perform installations at the new site. This requires putting together a significant amount of network equipment for the inmate phone system and associated add on components in support of the contract. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business.
