Job summary

TKC Holdings, Inc. (ICS division) is seeking a Field Technician to support inmate phone systems across correctional facilities nationwide.

The role requires extensive travel to sites, performing installations, repairs, and component upgrades on network devices under multi-year state and county contracts. Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent, knowledge of T-1/analog circuits, strong network diagnostics, and solid written and verbal communication.

• Work on a suite of custom configured devices under multi-year state and county contracts.
• Handle other duties as determined by business needs.

About This Position

There is always extensive travel to and from each site the Field Tech visits. Once there, they will perform a walk-through of the facility to repair or replace any components on a suite of custom configured network devices in support of multi-year state and county contracts. Field Techs perform installations at the new site. This requires putting together a significant amount of network equipment for the inmate phone system and associated add on components in support of the contract. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business.

What You'll Need

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have T-1 and analog circuit repair knowledge.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of multiple network disciplines and perform advanced network diagnostics to isolate and troubleshoot issues.
• Must be able to develop good working relationships with facility personnel.
• Service and maintain inmate phone systems at correctional facilities within an assigned region.
• Ability to travel throughout assigned territory as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong team oriented business skill.
• Professional attitude in dealing with customers.
