Job summary

Vestas seeks a Field Support Lead to guide on-site Field Support Coordinators and Tool Coordinators during wind-project construction and grid connection. You will drive safety, process compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple sites, coaching teammates and third-party contractors.

The role requires 5+ years in wind-site support, strong SAP and project-management skills, and travel up to 60%. A leadership mindset and exceptional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in Vestas wind site business support with project management and training experience.
• Experience with SAP in dispatch/planning, stock keeping, front desk, and forecasting.
• Strong planning, logistics, scheduling, and inventory control abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence stakeholders to follow processes.
• Advanced PC skills in MS Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and develop the Field Support team (3-5 Vestas employees and 3-5 contractors).
• Provide direction, workload prioritization, and resource allocation across projects/sites.
• Champion safety policies and environmental stewardship initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment through hazard identification and risk mitigation.
• Lead daily safety meetings and monthly safety training; model safe practices.
• Train, mentor, and support FSCs and TCs; identify skill gaps and coach accordingly.
• Ensure NCRs are documented in SAP and maintained accurately.
• Collaborate with Field Support Managers on staffing, scheduling, and cost-effective needs.
• Provide regular project status updates to leadership and participate in closeout audits.
• Support other sites to resolve issues impacting broader objectives.
