Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a Field Supervisor in Baytown, TX to lead hydroblasting, tank cleaning, and emergency response projects. You will oversee crews, ensure safe execution of high‑pressure and confined space work, and drive performance in a fast‑paced, safety‑sensitive environment.

This role requires strong leadership, enforcement of OSHA and DOT standards, and coordination of emergency responses. You’ll train staff, monitor equipment, manage waste handling, and uphold GFL’s Team Green

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial cleaning, hydroblasting, or emergency response.
• Knowledge of confined space entry, HAZWOPER, and hazardous materials handling.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid TWIC Card.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• DOT and safety compliance experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Schedule and oversee hydroblasting, tank cleaning, and emergency response jobs.
• Supervise crews and ensure safe execution of high-pressure and confined space work.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
• Coordinate emergency response activities and on-call operations.
• Monitor equipment, job performance, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure proper waste handling, documentation, and compliance.
• Train and mentor employees on procedures and safety practices.
