Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead field activities, coordinate subcontractors, and support planning from preconstruction through project execution. You will work with experienced professionals committed to safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project and be supported by a strong team focused on growth and development in the design/build sector.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction Planning – Attend post-award meetings to review project details and assist with construction planning before work begins.
• Project Scheduling – Work with the Project Manager to develop construction schedules, sequencing, staffing plans, and equipment needs.
• Field Leadership – Oversee daily construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications.
• Subcontractor Coordination – Manage subcontractor activities, communicate schedule updates, and ensure work is properly coordinated across trades.
