Job summary

SPS Corporation seeks a seasoned Superintendent to oversee glazing and paneling field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time project delivery. You will coordinate crews, read and interpret drawings, and liaise with project managers, foremen, and general contractors to solve issues and maintain progress.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to safety, and travel to various job sites, with a focus on meeting project specifications and budgets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience, including supervisory roles in glazing or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial glass and panel installation practices and tools.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural/engineering drawings and construction documents.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites as required.
• Valid driver's license is required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site operations including glass installation, framing, and hardware installation.
• Coordinate daily job site activities and manage crews to meet milestones.
• Communicate with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and general contractors to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress, ensure alignment with specifications and standards.
• Lead daily site meetings and participate in Planning and Safety discussions.
• Enforce OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance.
• Maintain site documentation: daily reports, time sheets, receipts, incident logs.
• Oversee field inventory, tools, and equipment; manage maintenance/replacements.
• Train and mentor field staff for high performance and growth.
• Coordinate with office/logistics for material delivery and site setup.
• Ensure vehicles/equipment/trailers are maintained and compliant.
