Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Field Superintendent for Existing Installations. You will supervise servicing and repairs to meet quality and safety standards, while guiding teams and coordinating with sales for service orders.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years in elevator services, plus supervisory experience with unionized crews. Strong communication and computer skills are required; SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of elevator industry experience.
• Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators.
• Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance meets quality standards and contract requirements.
• Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance, reliability and safety for each project.
• Support sales staff in estimating service orders, scheduling and executing orders, and resolving customer complaints.
• Manage audit programs to ensure conformance with performance standards and safety.
• Develop manpower selection, training and performance appraisal programs.
• Implement route management for preventive maintenance with controlled manpower.
• Foster teamwork and dedication to quality improvement among employees.
• Maintain relationships with local IUEC business agent.
