Job summary

Hedrick Brothers Construction is seeking a Superintendent I to lead smaller or less complex projects on site in West Palm Beach, FL. You will drive scheduling, quality, safety, and team coordination with trade partners under PM guidance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in commercial construction, strong reading of blueprints/specifications, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office. A valid Florida driver’s license is required, OSHA 10 is required, OSHA 30 preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Start‑up planning and safety orientation coordination; partner with Safety to sign off on-site safety plan.
• Review trade partner scopes and coordinate with foremen before mobilization.
• Study specifications to plan procedures, sequencing, and staffing for each phase.
• Manage the schedule with the PM; provide monthly updates and short‑term look‑aheads.
• Lead weekly trade partner coordination meetings and distribute minutes via Procore.
• Procure tools/materials to conform to the schedule.
• Own quality control using Procore checklists by discipline; confirm submittals, manufacturers, and codes.
• Schedule and accompany AHJ and third‑party inspections; prepare and document results.
• Prepare RFI backups and maintain permit logs and as‑built drawings.
• Submit cost coding receipts and reports weekly.
• Champion safety culture; conduct toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Maintain SDS, signage, PPE; coordinate with HR for incidents and investigations.
