Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Structural Welder for field welding and assembly of pre-engineered metal buildings (Butler® PEMB systems). You will weld, fit, and install steel components on active construction sites, reading drawings and weld symbols, while adhering to safety standards and project schedules.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of structural welding experience, strong safety awareness, ability to work outdoors at heights, and AWS D1.1 certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural welding experience, preferably in PEMB or commercial steel erection.
• Ability to read/interpret structural drawings and welding symbols.
• Experience working at heights with lifts/scaffolding and fall protection.
• Strong jobsite safety practices and outdoor/wide weather tolerance.
• AWS D1.1 (or equivalent) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble pre-engineered metal building components on active sites.
• Fit-up, alignment, and tacking of structural members prior to final welds.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols; follow erection plans and specs.
• Operate welding equipment and related field tools safely.
• Collaborate with ironworkers, crane operators, and site supervision.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsite and comply with safety policies.
