Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Houston seeks a Manager of Field Solutions to lead the CWE program and partner with project teams to drive field effectiveness. You will own programs addressing field leader development and mitigate constraints to workface improvements.

You will analyze metrics, propose improvements aligned with business strategy, and ensure objectives are met, with partial in-person attendance as part of a telework setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field and fifteen or more years of relevant heavy industrial construction experience.
• Demonstrated experience at superintendent level or above on large capital projects with accountability for schedule, quantities, and craft workforce.
• Proven record of identifying an execution problem early with a project team and delivering a solution that restored performance.

Responsibilities

• Own the Solutions Group's relationship with assigned project teams, concentrating on front-line construction managers, superintendents, and field engineers.
• Work with project teams to identify emerging execution problems early and agree the diagnosis with the project.
• Develop and deploy short-term solutions that restore performance at the workfront within the current project schedule.
• Judge which fixes warrant permanence and scale them into standardized solutions for other projects.
• Contribute to constructability reviews and provide input into schedule development and improvement.
• Generate productivity ideas and carry successful ones into the group’s standard offering.
• Coach Solution Specialists and support Environmental, Safety & Health with field input.
