Job summary

QE Solar is seeking a Solar Field Technician to provide ongoing field services for solar, battery storage (BESS) and other renewables, optimizing equipment performance and resolving issues. You will assist with inspections, maintenance, testing, and compliance while supporting safety orientations and team training.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of specialist experience in solar or related systems, knowledge of NEC/IEEE as applicable, and a willingness to travel regionally and nationally.

Qualifications

• High school or technical training required.
• 0-2+ years in solar/BESS field experience.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair solar/BESS system failures and perform preventative maintenance.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper documentation of field activities.
• Prepare service tickets and reports; communicate with leads and subcontractors.
• Assist field teams with real-time solutions and project safety orientations.
