Job summary

The Landline Company is building edge-focused software for live airport operations, delivering driver apps, handheld tools, and real-time connections to the platform. You’ll own the field software layer and help ensure frontline staff have reliable tools across charging, scanning, and dispatch.

We use a modern web stack with Next.js and integrate IoT and telematics with platforms like Samsara. You’ll ship fast improvements by working with airline partners across hub airports in North America.

Qualifications

• Experience designing for spotty connectivity and offline scenarios.
• Proficient in Next.js/Vercel across the stack.
• Experience integrating IoT devices and vehicle telematics.

Responsibilities

• Own the driver app and handheld tools used by frontline staff.
• Design flows for offline use, glare, gloves, and one-handed operation.
• Integrate device capabilities (camera, scanning, GPS) for verifiable events.
• Integrate IoT/telematics to provide a real-time ops view.
• Collaborate across booking, dispatch, and backend to ship cohesive features.
• Leverage agentic workflows and LLM-driven tooling in dev and prod.
• Ride along with drivers and ship fixes within a week.
