Job summary

The Miami County Board of Commissioners seeks a Social Services Case Aide to assist case workers by interviewing, screening and monitoring clients, as well as performing general clerical duties. You will support in locating services, transporting clients and documenting needs, under supervision.

Hours are typically 8am–5pm, Monday through Friday, with possible variation. The role involves ensuring safety of children, may require driving, and may include court testimony as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assists, interviews, and screens incoming and ongoing reports of child abuse, neglect and/or dependency.
• Provides technical assistance to Social Services Workers in completing case work.
• Interviews and monitors clients, collects verifications, documents client needs, discusses service alternatives, and initiates referrals as assigned.
• May testify in court and may drive for work purposes.
• Performs miscellaneous duties and attends trainings and meetings.

Education
