Job summary

Miami County is seeking a Social Services Case Aide to support Social Services Case Workers by interviewing and screening clients and assisting with case work. The role includes clerical duties and aiding Social Services personnel.

Responsibilities include interviewing and monitoring clients, collecting verifications, and initiating referrals. The position may require court testimony and driving for work purposes. Hours are typically 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Ohio driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Assist, interview, and screen incoming and ongoing reports of child abuse, neglect and/or dependency to the agency.
• Provide technical assistance to Social Services Workers in completing case work.
• Interview and monitor clients, collect verifications, document client needs, discuss service alternatives, assist in locating goods and services, transport clients, make contacts with service providers, and initiate referrals as assigned.
• Perform miscellaneous duties, attend training and meetings, may testify in court, and may drive for work purposes.
