Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Northern Virginia is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support on-site installation, provisioning, and maintenance of subscriber radios and related systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mission-critical communications hardware and software in a high-security environment.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, FCC GROL or CET Associate certification, valid US travel, and the ability to work on-site at a government-facing facility.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of field service experience in LMR, RF, IT, or networking.
• FCC GROL or CET Associate certification required or higher; network certs preferred.
• On-site, in Virginia with ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Codeplug development for customized subscriber radios with high quality.
• Provisioning and deployment of subscriber and infrastructure equipment.
• Maintenance and repair of LMR subsystems and encrypted equipment.
• Analyze batteries/antennas and repair mobile radio accessories.
• Perform preventative maintenance and develop solutions to technical problems.
• Vehicle installation and service of radios in vehicles at facilities or customer sites.
• Create user handouts, prepare tickets, and conduct field or service-center training.
• Provide technical system support and optimization for legacy analogue, P25, and data networks.
