Job summary

LayerCake Technologies in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Field Services Technician II to perform onsite hardware installations, workstation deployments, and network equipment setup at client sites. You will be the primary in-person company representative, ensuring equipment refreshes and break/fix support that cannot be resolved remotely.

This field-based role requires regular travel (approximately 50–80% annually) and meticulous documentation of as-built records, serial numbers, and configurations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years IT field services and desktop support experience.
• Hands-on hardware deployment, workstation config and basic networking.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite hardware installations and workstation deployments.
• Rack-and-stack network equipment and cable setup.
• Provide break/fix support for hardware and connectivity.
• Document all onsite work including as-built records, serial numbers and configurations.
