Job summary

Clean Harbors in Highland, CA seeks a Field Services Technician I to support hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, and decontamination tasks in the field. You will handle hazardous materials in a safety‑conscious environment and operate various tools and equipment under protective PPE.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, physical labor, and long shifts as required. On-call emergency response and current regulatory compliance are integral to the role within the environmental

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check, drug test, and medical examination.
• On-call work including weekends/holidays; long shifts may be required.
• Must meet OSHA Respiratory Protection standard facial hair requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies and procedures.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and power tools.
• Wear and properly use PPE including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Handle hazardous materials and perform waste sampling as needed.
• Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Attend compliance and safety meetings and on-call emergencies.
