We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optics Technician to join our team. This role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems, primarily in a remote setting with extensive travel. Position Details

• Term: 1+ year
• Location: Remote (100% travel)
• Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour, based on experience
• Hours: Standard business hours

Responsibilities

• Install and remove non-powered equipment hardware and wiring
• Conduct verification and continuity testing
• Analyze job specifications and drawings
• Understand and document the Scope of Work (SOW) and write Job Change Order (JCO) summaries
• Assign work to Skill Level 1 and 2 Installers
• Prepare Method of Procedure (MOP) and Job Information Memorandums (JIMs)
• Resolve issues related to job specifications and drawings
• Perform quality inspections during and after installation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Authorized to work in the US with a valid driver’s license and insurance
• Willingness to travel extensively, including driving long hours
• Ability to lift tools and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. unassisted, and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
• Basic electronic skills and familiarity with hardware and operating systems
• Basic set of hand tools
